Curricular Integration

Integrating the Eco Schools program into the planning of various subjects helps the entire school to participate in the program, raising their understanding and knowledge of what it means to live in a sustainable world. When environmental education is creatively integrated into the curriculum, it generates benefits such as:

Curriculum integration is prepared so that students can use real data collected from activities and program monitoring on campus. For example, if the teacher is planning a lesson on creating graphs, the teacher could use real data on energy consumption, amount of recycled material per month, amount of vegetables harvested in the garden, etc. That will be collected as part of the work on the different topics covered in the Program.
