Monitoring and evaluation are important tools to help you check your progress, adjust or modify your plan for greater success, and provide credibility to your program.

This mode of monitoring and evaluation should be developed in parallel with the implementation of its Action Plan.

Monitoring will allow you to gather quantifiable data on your progress. With these data the success of the program can be evaluated and in turn make all the necessary modifications. It will also allow you to determine how long it has taken you to reach your goals.

The Environmental Committee will ensure the progress and achievement of the goals established in the action plan. If necessary, they should make changes to it and celebrate the achievements.

Through this monitoring, the Environmental Committee must guarantee that environmental education will be a continuous process in the school and its community.

Involvement of the whole school is the key!

One of the key objectives of Eco Escuela is to see the entire school community involved in all the environmental activities planned by the Environmental Committee. L to student participation in this process is very important because it desarollará in them a sense of ownership and responsibility for school.

Although the environmental committee will take the lead in planning and developing the action plan, it is very important that as many students, teachers, and non-teaching personnel participate in projects and activities as much as possible.

This will make students and the school community commit and feel proud of their achievements, their school and their community as a social entity, awakening an interest in promoting and maintaining a more sustainable and respectful school environment and social environment.

  Environmental Action Days!

One of the best ways to involve the entire school community is to celebrate an Environmental Action Day, One Planet Picnic , Global Action Days , Green Apple Day of Service , etc.   Environmental Action days are usually celebrated in different months of the school year around the world. These activities offer the opportunity for everyone in the school (students, teachers and non-teaching staff) to come together to work towards a goal set in the action plan and in turn feel part of a global environmental movement.
